Wow long time.

Wah 2 months havent update this blog. I'm going to guess that no one will ever read this blog again. But hey, that's a good thing... I think. At least it become my "secret diary". (Kids, there's no secret in the Internet FYI)
Kinda funny that my last post was about Polytechnic starting and now this post is also about Polytechnic starting but its a new term. Year 1.1.2. I have to say I enjoy school. Super repetitive but still enjoyable.
My first few weeks was a little boring as we do not know one another well enough to have fun together. I really have to thank WeiiYeh for keeping me accompany for that few weeks.
Then, we got to know Nicholas, Ziyi and ChenYong. That's when we started to play computer games together. Slowly, more joined, MingLiang, Kean, Charlton, Larry and other classmates. LAN in school. Wow.
I know I can't complain about my life if I don't try to change it. But LAN in school for 1 month straight is boring. I'm aware that other classes have outings/BBQ/chalets, we don't. But hey, its alright, we have our own and only way to lingo with one another.
Give the class more time, its only 2 months. Hopefully, one day we will go out together and have fun, BBQs and even have chalets. One day.
It will come =D
But on a more serious note, Thank you guys, though I doubt you all will ever read this as I didn't give out my blog link but really Thank you. These two months of Poly is enjoyable and I wish it will only get even better till we graduate. Who knows, we might all be friends for life.

Polytechnic is starting tomorrow and to be honest, I'm pretty scared.
Its been thirteen years since I went to a class with no one I know at all... since kindergarten if you do not know what I was studying thirteen years ago. In kindergarten, I went to the first class of my life, knowing no one at all. Now, I'm going to the course of my dream, heading into my class with no one I know of.
I'm scared... really scared. Many of my family and friends have told me that I'm not one who open up easily, I don't talk much to people, I need to talk more, I look fierce when I don't smile at all. Thus, I have rarely make friends with more than half of my class. It might not seem little for a class of 40 but now, I only have a class of 22.
And to me, its really important to have friends in poly life. We can no longer suckup*cough* to teachers... I mean depend on teachers. We have to depend a lot of our friends for support and advices and most importantly projects. So, I wish I can change my attitude of my past 16 years of life and start to open up more and make lots of friends.
I went to Week 0 orientation on 15-17 April, Wednesday - Friday. It was kind of boring in the first day, we sat in the LT for almost all of the day, but then after the Night Walk, everything just pick up the pace and become really enjoyable.
I'm not going to talk about the Night Walk cause I spent some time trying to forget it... its still creepy even now. But I have to say I really enjoy all the station games and the night performances.
Even though, we lost in the Regata, we never lose our spirit. We kept cheering like there's no tomorrow. I saw some of my OLs cried after losing and it really gets into me that I want to win Business next year.
And Business We will Win You and You and You.
I doubt any of the OLs will ever read this but I just want to say thank you for all the hard work you all put into the camp, I have enjoyed it and I'm sure all of IIT did too.

I'm going to have 4 hours of Visual Literacy and Storyboarding Tutorial and then 2 hours of Problem Solving and Programming Lab tomorrow. What a long day it will be.
PRSP lab probably means we are going to learn some programming!.. duh. Can't wait.

10 more days to Poly starts. I'm freaking nervous yet excited.
Nervous because I do not know anyone in my caregroup, and I worried whether I can get along with them.
Excited because I'm going to start my path as a game programmer/designer/whatever! A goal I have been dreaming of since Primary school.
And my caregroup is C234. I love continuous numbers 
I haven't been blogging much about what I'm doing so I just going to have a little recap on the interesting things I did... which is little by the way.
April Fool was boring. I was excited to see what the games websites and the developers have in plan for this day. I can't say it isn't funny, some of them are really hilarious while others are just meh or I just cant get it.
I made my ez-link card with Jude, Minghui and View. Paid $8.
Went to Sentosa on Wednesday. Had a great time, and a bloody sunburn on my back. Quite sad that we didn't play football.
And thank you people for making me wait for 1 hour 30 minutes+
I'm not reaching on time next time. And the time after next time. And the next time after the time after next time.
Woke up at 6 today, went to 'sweep tomb'. Finished at noon, went back home and slept for like 3 hours.
And lastly, I have been watching Pokemon all week. The Pokemon craze is back in me!
Yup, that's pretty much what happened for the past few days.
I probably won't post till after my orientation camp where I will update on what happen there. And why I need 4 sets of clothes excluding the one I wear to school...

Till Polytechnic starts... and I still did not receive my orientation letter from TP! Sigh...
I still do not know whether I'm happy that school is starting.
Not much happened during the past few days so there's really nothing to blog about today.
Just that my big shelf is coming tomorrow! Then I can display all my games on it
I haven't wrote much in any language since O levels. I'm scared that I can't write properly when I have to.
And my English is getting worse everyday 
Guess I got to buck up a lot when school starts.
I wanted to write a Games x3 article today but while sorting out all my news, I suddenly felt lazy so I decided to drop it.
And dropping this week Games x3 means all the GDC news will be old... so I'm going to post a trailer!
Modern Warfare 2 Teaser
To be honest, it didn't even tease me much at first. Then after I watched it again and again, I find that the teaser did give us a little sneak peek of what might be coming.

I just completed 'The Pitt' today. It was enjoyable but I still think that 'Operation Anchorvale' was better.
If you do not know what 'The Pitt' is, its the second DLC for Fallout 3.

Its been one month since the last issue! All I can say is, I'm lazy to find news about games.

First News: Star Wars: The Old Republic Announced Bounty Hunter Class
No big surprise really. What would Star Wars be without Bounty Hunters chasing people around for the bounty on their heads?
I'm just wondering how many people will choose other classes the game have to offer, other than Jedi and Sith...

Second News: EA Closes Down India Branch...
... and apparently other Asian branches too, relocating the resources to Singapore.
I'm having mixed feelings here.
I feel sad for the people who lost their jobs due to the closing. But then, I feel really relieved that EA is holding its Singapore branch and better yet putting more resources into Singapore.
That means a better chance for me to find job in Singapore as a Game programmer/designer/whatever.

Don Control? As long as it isn't a 10 years old randomly putting markers everywhere on the map, I'm glad.
Fourth News: Acer's Predator Is Hot!
Maybe a little too hot.
Apparently the internal wiring could get bent or stripped, and you can start having a BBQ party over your Predator.
Acer recalled about 215 units of ASG7200 and ASG7700 that was sold between May to December of 2008 and owners can contact Acer for a free repair.
I'm not too sure if Singapore owners have to worry about this since it was only recalled in USA.
But if you are worried, be sure to contact Acer before a fire really starts.

Swimming and Lan

...are pretty much what I did for the past few days.
Been going swimming with Minghui And ViewMeng, playing lan with them too.A pretty nice way to kill time.
We were playing C&C Generals: Zero Hour and Company of Heroes on Wednesday.
And the same games + L4D today.
Well not really C&C Generals cause the computers like to crash on us when we played it. Quite a pity tho.
We were finally able to push up and build a forward base after a round of horrible defeat but then the computers just have to crash on us.
But playing C&C Generals for that two days, makes me really want to keep on playing 
Then we played Company of Heroes, was going well till the Axis decided to spam tanks and pushed us back.
Minghui decided to go 'backdoor' on the Axis, dropping paratroopers and AT guns in the enemy bases.
While Ivan and View was defending their side, I was hunting tanks with my heavy tanks and canopy shermans.
In the end, we managed to win the battle.
Poly is starting in a month and I don't think I'm mentally prepared enough for it but whether I am or not, I still have to go to school.
Was troubling about what laptop to buy... so many different models, so little money.

Poly Life starts soon

It is March! It had been nearly 4 months after my O levels and admittedly, I have done little to nothing constructive during the holidays... And I'm proud of it
1 Month and 20 Days away from now, I will officially be a Poly student. And then I will not have so much time on the computer
I will probably still have time for blogging but managing Games x3 and Game Reviews AND Games Plox, would be a little problematic.
Hence, I decided that I would not write Games x3 on a weekly basis. I will write when there are enough interesting news and of course, when I'm not busy.
So be prepared to have a LOOOONNNNGGG article cause I will probably pile up the news for like 2 weeks before even writing one issue.
About Games Plox, if you did visit it the first time I put up the link and then visit it a few days later, you will probably find that it is inactive.
I do not know how to explain that.
I will probably discuss with my teammates that if I should throw in Games x3 so that it won't feel so "inactive".
And I say probably, cause it is difficult to get all three of us online at the same time without one getting distracted halfway through. Yes me included.
We were actually thinking of some features. But we decided that template is more important than features and all three of us don't know how to make a "nicer" template that we are pretty much stuck... wtf
Anyway, away from all those admin stuffs. Lets talk about what the heck I have been doing the whole time.
First up my mind, I went to have my Poly Checkup at AMK Sata with Jude & View.
There's nothing much to say really. I went for X-Ray scan, Height & Weight, Eyes check, Urine test and lastly GP.
Pretty basic stuffs really. Oh and did I mention I'm 181 now? Yay!
Height is probably not that important to any of you but to me, my goal is 183! So pretty much 2 cm to go.
GROW GROW GROW!
Two days later after my checkup. I went back the Sata to collect my report this time with Jude & View AND Lenson. Cause he needed his checkup.
Jude and I collected our report but somehow View did not read his paper that stated 3:00pm... 
And Lenson was really unlucky. According to him, he was next in line to visit the doctor but the doc decided that it is time for lunch and tell them to come back at 1:30.
Sad.
And so we pretty much wait till 2+ while eating our lunch and then go back to the clinic and blah blah... nothing much to say really
View and I went to Jude's house to play Guitar Heroes after that. It was pretty enjoyable.
I have people searching FEAR 3 in google images and somehow linked to my FEAR 3: Lenson pictures.
I want to say sorry if you really think that its a "rick-roll".
I was just trying to tease my friend
And the rest of the days, I was playing CoD4, mostly with Lenson and Ryan.
We wanted to make a video or machinima out of it but somehow we did not have a solid script and I can tell you if we actually kept quiet for long enough.
That script will never appear... ever. So you can't blame us for keep nagging for the script.
CAUSE WE WANT TO DO IT WHEN WE STILL HAVE NO SCHOOL.*
or before Lenson vanish into SP and forget us.

Hey ho! I'm late by 3 days but I have a good reason!
I have been preparing for my enrolment stuffs to Temasek Polytechnic and this few days have been crazy!
... Not all because of the enrolment stuffs but also in Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer.
Have been playing around with my friends in Hardcore mode + FF on and seeing everyone teamkill one another, be it straight up shot-in-the-face or martydom.
It is hilarious.
Anyway on to the NEWS!
First News: Dead Space on Wii
I know this is an old big news, I wanted to post it when I knew it... just didn't for some reason.

From what I heard, its a railway-shooter or something... I can't remember whats the exact genre is called.
But hopefully the game will turn out good like its other versions too.

Second News: Microsoft assured that Windows 7 is great for games... unlike Vista
There's actually two articles on Kotaku related to the same thing.
First being the Test of which operating system is faster and the second being the statement of Microsoft.
I'm not good with technical stuff but looking at some of my friends' Vista's way of reacting with their games.
I really hope the next computer I buy, will be using Windows 7 as the operating system... unless it sucks too

Hey yo Hey yo! It has been quite long since I have a blog post!
And by blog post, I mean a post which is about my life and everything around it EXCEPT games.
That's right!
And the irony is that my title has the word "Game(s)" in it >.>
One of my friends asked me this today; "Why are all of your post about GAMES?! I don't play that much GAMES! I do not know what you are talking about!!!"
Well... maybe not the exact quote but its roughly there.
I could not reply... I do not know how to reply him there
What he said was pretty true there, the few recent posts have been all about games.
I started this website as my Cinema 4D portfilo, side-tracked it a little to my personal blog till now it really became my personal blog.
Am I going to sidetrack it towards all about gaming?
The answer is NO... or yes... I don't know. I will side-track it towards about 70% my freaking life 30% Games.
But heres the important part. Lenson, View and me myself have started a new website called Games Plox.
It is all about Gaming and stuff, and just that tiny little bit about life.
The website is still under construction, but there's already a few reviews on it and we are planning on expanding on lots of stuffs, so I hope that you all can visit it often.
